Let's make a meaningful difference, together!**Your part in The Wesley Hospital**We are seeking an organised, proactive, and technically minded **Maintenance & Facilities Planner** to join our Facilities & Asset Management team. In this vital role, you will support the smooth operation of our hospital by planning, scheduling, and coordinating both preventative and corrective maintenance activities. Your work will directly contribute to a safe, high‐quality environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Reporting to the Metropolitan Hospital Engineering manager you will be part of the Leadership team**Key Responsibilities*** Using MEX (CMMS) create, prioritise and schedule maintenance work orders based on equipment and facility needs as well as resource availability* Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for building services, plant, and equipment.* Collaborate with maintenance technicians, contractors, and clinical teams to minimise service disruptions.* Maintain accurate asset records, work orders, and compliance documentation within the CMMS (MEX)* Prepare reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for management review.* Analyse maintenance trends, risk and improvement opportunities informing asset and workload planning* Support compliance with relevant health, safety, building, and regulatory standards.* Assist with planning shutdowns, equipment upgrades, minor works, and refurbishment projects.**What makes a difference for us?**You will be a detail‐oriented planner who thrives in a fast-paced environment with many competing priorities. You enjoy problem‐solving, understand the importance of healthcare continuity, and work well with both technical and non‐technical stakeholders.* Experience in maintenance planning, facilities coordination, or asset management (healthcare or large complex environments preferred).* Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, fire safety, plumbing, medical gases, etc.).* Proficiency in CMMS (MEX) or asset management software.* Excellent organisational and communication skills.* Ability to interpret technical documents, maintenance manuals, and compliance requirements.* Qualification in engineering, facilities management, or a trade related field (desirable).* Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessmentDesirable* Previous experience using MEX (CMMS) or similar Maintenance Management System.* Trade Certificate, OR an Advanced Diploma (related to a Trade)**What makes a difference for you?*** **NFP Salary Packaging:** Save tax and increase your take home pay by salary packaging your everyday living expenses and bills (up to $15,900) and meal entertainment (up to $2,650) per annum.
