Responsibilities
- Deliver various and significant NSW, Australian and international water and wastewater projects (either networks or treatment plants), by understanding clients’ needs, providing technical guidance and support for small, medium and large‑scale projects (capex in the 100’s of millions)
- Technical leadership and project management to guide key projects and mentor other team members
- Prepare proposals, investigations and technical design projects
- Understand client and project technical requirements, assist to develop solutions, and prepare technical reports, designs & specifications, client proposals and presentations
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, including business development and engagement throughout project delivery
- Work closely with clients to develop innovative technical solutions in wastewater and water treatment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, coupled with 8 or more years of relevant water or wastewater experience in either networks or treatment plants
- The ability to lead and/or work effectively within a multi‑disciplinary team across the project lifecycle
- Strong client relationship skills, project management skills, and experience in preparing winning proposals
- Design or planning skills in water or wastewater networks or treatment, including producing technical reports, developing engineering drawings, specifications and tender documentation for water or wastewater treatment infrastructure
- Experience with civil or hydraulic design software is preferable
- Project management or design management experience, together with a willingness and ability to mentor and provide direction to junior staff
