Deliver procurement solutions for a key strategic Government client
Temporary Part time (22 hrs a week) till Mid - September
We are seeking a Procurement/Sourcing Manager to join our team working with our major client – Placemaking NSW. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for owning the strategic sourcing, tendering process, contract lifecycle management and supplier performance management, with a focus on both Hard and Soft Facilities Management Services.
Located at The Rocks and Darling Harbour, this role is being offered on a temporary part time basis of 22.5 hours per week till mid-September 2026. We are flexible with days and hours, depending on what works best for you.
Here's what you will focus on:
* Develop and assist with the implementation of strategies and solutions to optimise building operation and maintenance cost across the client's portfolio
* Assume responsibility for the management of new and existing contract life cycles and negotiations of suppliers delivering hard and soft services
* End to end management of procurement process for select Capital Works Projects and operational contracts
* Assist with contract and scope development, administration of contracts, ensuring supplier performance and contract compliance
* Manage preferred supplier agreement tenders and provide tender analysis
* Monitor and manage vendor performance and service delivery including KPI reporting
Your Background:
* Sound experience in Procurement / Contract management with specialist expertise in both Hard and Soft Facilities Management Services or related role.
* Government procurement experience will be highly regarded
* Relevant Tertiary qualification in supply chain, law, engineering or property
* Knowledge of contract law and its application in the purchasing process
* Experience in contract negotiation and managing KPI /contractor performance
* Sound knowledge and competent in the application of Statutory Legislation including the Modern Slavery Act 2018
* An ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders and build strong working relationships
