Page Seager Lawyers is home to the largest group of legal professionals in Tasmania with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional client outcomes. We are seeking a senior, commercially minded leader to join our firm as Head of People, Marketing & Client Services.
This is a pivotal leadership role reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for driving the firm's people and culture strategy, marketing and client engagement initiatives, client contract management and reporting obligations, and related business improvement programs.
About the Role
This broad role will lead the firm's people function end‐to‐end, oversee brand and client communications, manage client contractual and reporting obligations, and identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and performance across these areas.
You will work closely with the Principal Lawyers, COO and operational teams to ensure our people and market positioning are aligned with the firm's objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1 People & Culture
Lead and implement the firm's people and culture strategy
Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance and development
Drive workforce planning, succession planning and capability development
Provide advice on employment legislation, policies and best practice
Oversee payroll and HR operations
2 Marketing & Client Engagement
Lead all marketing, branding and client communication activities
Prepare high-quality tenders, submissions and capability statements
Manage digital presence and client engagement initiatives
Maintain consistent brand messaging across all channels
3 Client Contract Management & Reporting
Manage client contract registers and reporting obligations
Coordinate client audits and compliance requirements
Ensure accurate and timely delivery of client reporting
4 Workplace Health & Safety
Oversee WHS compliance, reporting and training
Maintain WHS systems, registers and policies
5 Business Improvement
Identify and implement operational efficiencies and system improvements
Support productivity, growth initiatives and cross-practice collaboration
About You
You are an experienced senior leader with a strong background in professional services, ideally within legal or a similar environment. You bring a blend of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, strong soft skills and hands‐on operational capability.
You will demonstrate:
Proven experience in people leadership and organisational development
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
Experience managing marketing, client engagement or business development initiatives
A track record of improving systems and processes
High levels of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail
Tertiary qualifications in human resources, business, marketing or a related discipline are essential.
