Due to significant growth, they are currently looking for a Account Manager to join their team.
THE ROLE
* Based in VIC, you will be focusing on managing and growing a set of 20 existing accounts while prospecting new opportunities across an additional 10.
* As part of the embedded computing team, you will work closely with design engineers and procurement professionals to support highly technical, long-cycle projects across medical imaging, defence systems, and self-service retail applications.
* You'll work from the office two days a week, remotely for three, and visit clients as needed. The average deal size ranges from $70K to over $1M, with sales cycles between 6 months and 3 years.
* Collaboration is central—expect to engage with both local colleagues and stakeholders abroad.
* You will be reporting to the Sales Manager who will provide you with ongoing support and training.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage and grow existing accounts across VIC
* Identify and pursue large tender/project opportunities
* Collaborate with design engineers and procurement teams
* Support contract negotiation and integration
* Contribute to a team of embedded specialists in a supportive and agile environment
THE CANDIDATE
* THE MOST IMPORTANT THING: Sales experience in electronics, IT hardware (i.e., Dell, HP etc…), industrial automation, or related electronic/electrical fields.
* You understand how to adjust your style when speaking to engineers versus procurement and are comfortable navigating long, complex sales processes.
* Traits like curiosity, adaptability, and humility are critical in this role, along with a genuine interest in solving customer challenges with tailored embedded computing solutions.
* Strong interpersonal and consultative sales skills
