Salary: $103,185 - $111,237 p.a (HEO6) + 17% superannuation.
About the opportunity
The Faculty of Engineering is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Education Support Officer to join the Student Success team, supporting a broad portfolio including scholarships, Student Life programs, and work integrated learning (WIL). The role will focus on improving student experience through high-quality marketing/promotional content creation, clear and consistent communications, data analysis and the delivery of targeted student engagement initiatives. The role is well suited to someone who is organised, proactive, and comfortable working across both creative and operational tasks.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with key academic and professional staff to support the Faculty's priorities.
* Coordinate and provide logistical support for key events and initiatives such as Welcome Week, Women in Engineering, QILT campaign, etc.
* Collaborate with Faculty and central University teams to ensure streamlined and consistent processes.
* Develop promotional content across scholarships, Student Life and WIL programs, including event and program promotion and digital assets.
* Use feedback, engagement metrics and Student Operational reports in Sydney Student to analyse data, identify trends, opportunities and prepare reports to inform decision making.
About you
We are looking for an Education Support Officer who has:
* Demonstrated experience in a tertiary education environment, with working knowledge of student management systems (e.g., Sydney Student) and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas); prior experience delivering events and campaigns is highly desirable.
* Strong marketing and digital content creation experience.
* Strong time and workload management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines, and consistently deliver outcomes.
* Affinity to technology and automation, the ability to build PowerBI dashboards and apply analytical thinking to monitor and evaluate engagement trends.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders, collaborate effectively in teams, apply sound problem-solving skills, and use their own discretion when navigating complex situations.
* Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships across academic and administrative teams, contributing positively to a cohesive team environment.
* Familiarity with University policies, procedures, and administrative processes within a higher education context is highly regarded.
