Power System Engineer Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Power System Engineer to join our team in the Victorian System Resilience & Performance department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking power system analysis to support planning, assessment, power system operability, and technical advisory services for the Victorian declared shared network.
* You will assess transmission network limitations, monitor performance, and compliance, developing network base cases and preparing advice that ensures a safe, secure, and reliable electricity supply.
* Conducting power system simulations and analysis is a crucial aspect of this role, where you will assess Victorian transmission network capability limitations and performance.
* Maintaining and integrating new and updated power system models will also be a key responsibility, ensuring accuracy and quality.
* In addition, you will prepare high-quality reports, planning advice, presentations, and briefing materials for stakeholders.
* You will manage multiple projects and shifting priorities, escalating risks to senior staff and stakeholders when required.
