Role Description
Experienced Oracle Database Administrator with 10+ years of expertise in managing large-scale Oracle environments. Skilled in ASM, RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM with strong capabilities in performance tuning, backup & recovery, and high availability solutions.
Proven experience in user management, tablespace management, disk group migrations, database switchovers/switchbacks, and ensuring security compliance and vulnerability remediation. Adept at maintaining stable, secure, and high-performing database systems in critical production environments.

Responsibilities
* Manage, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases across Production, Development, and Test environments to ensure high availability and performance.
* Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c/21c) in standalone and RAC environments.
* Perform database performance tuning using AWR/ASH reports and optimize SQL queries, indexing, and memory parameters.
* Design and manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
* Configure and support high availability solutions such as Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard for disaster recovery.
* Perform database migrations, upgrades, cloning, and refresh activities with minimal business disruption.
* Troubleshoot database issues, outages, and performance bottlenecks, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
* Implement and manage database security, including user access, roles, privileges, and compliance requirements.
* Work closely with application, infrastructure, and development teams to support database changes and deployments.
* Participate in change, incident, and problem management processes following ITIL practices.
* Maintain documentation and provide technical guidance to junior DBAs.
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Over 10 years of experience in Oracle database administration.
* Strong expertise in Oracle Database versions (11g, 12c, 19c, or higher).
* Hands‐on experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
* Strong knowledge of RMAN backup and recovery strategies.
* Good understanding of database security and access management.
* Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting database issues.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with OEM or similar monitoring tools.
* Understanding of container databases (CDB/PDB architecture).
* ITIL process experience (incident, change, problem management).
Additional Qualifications
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work in a 24/7 support or on‐call environment when required.
* Strong documentation and reporting skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team‐oriented environment.
* Experience mentoring junior team members is an added advantage.
