Employer: Homes Tasmania – Community Infrastructure, Property Maintenance – South/Hobart.
Employment type: Fixed-term, full-time (day work) commencing ASAP until 30 June 2027.
Location: South (Hobart), Tasmania.
Classification: Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award, General Stream, Band 5.
Salary: $98,255 to $103,069 pro rata per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
Responsibilities
As a member of the Property Maintenance team, contribute to the growth and sustainability of Tasmania's community infrastructure, with a focus on the social and affordable housing portfolio through delivery of responsive and planned maintenance services.
* Undertake performance auditing of general maintenance, landscaping, building safety and compliance and other maintenance related contract requirements.
* Provide support and advice to contractors to ensure works are scoped appropriately and consistently.
* Work with other business areas and tenants to assist in activities that seek to minimise maintenance issues and improve maintenance service delivery.
* Coordinate as required the delivery of planned maintenance works, in accordance with contractual agreements, service delivery and quality standards and strategic direction.
* Take a proactive approach in the development and implementation of activities relating to building safety, maintenance and landscaping services.
* Maintain systems information and undertake data related activities, including research, analysis, querying and preparation of reports/policies.
Qualifications and Experience
* High level knowledge and experience in strategic asset management, quality management and quality assurance principles and practice, together with well-developed knowledge of the building and maintenance industry.
* High level of adaptability and flexibility including the ability to work within an environment subject to pressure, ambiguity and change.
* Well-developed ability to implement processes, monitor quality control guidelines and audit contractor performance.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and industry experience.
* Current Driver's Licence.
* Current Tasmanian Working with Children (Vulnerable People) Registration.
