Key Responsibilities
Strategic Architecture and Leadership: Define, develop, and govern the organisation’s comprehensive SAP technical architecture, ensuring full alignment with business objectives and stringent regulatory mandates.
Offer expert strategic counsel to senior executive leadership on SAP architecture, roadmaps, and future‑state design.
Technical Design and Execution: Architect secure, high‑performing, and scalable SAP environments, strictly adhering to industry best practices and global standards; Design and deploy advanced SAP solutions to significantly enhance core business processes and operational efficiency; Create and maintain critical SAP technical documentation, including blueprints, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps.
Security, Risk, and Compliance Management: Proactively identify, analyse, and mitigate technical risks; Ensure rigorous adherence to all relevant security standards, policies, and regulatory frameworks, including ISO 27001 and NIST guidelines.
Project Oversight and Delivery Excellence: Provide robust technical leadership for complex, large‑scale SAP projects, guaranteeing successful, on‑time, and on‑budget delivery of technical solutions; Collaborate seamlessly with IT teams, business stakeholders, and third‑party partners.
Team Mentorship and Development: Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of senior SAP technical specialists, cultivating a high‑performance culture focused on continuous technical excellence.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Partner with executive stakeholders to translate complex business needs into practical and effective SAP technical solutions; Masterfully articulate intricate SAP concepts to both technical experts and non‑technical audiences, including the executive and board levels.
Innovation and Thought Leadership: Maintain up‑to‑date expertise on the latest SAP trends, emerging technologies, and architectural best practices; Champion and drive the adoption of innovative SAP methodologies and technologies to maximise business value.
Essential Qualifications and Expertise
Mandatory Security Clearance:
Active baseline or higher AGSVA security clearance (NV1) is a strict requirement for this position.
Extensive, demonstrable experience as an SAP Technical Architect, specialising in the design and implementation of advanced, complex SAP technical architectures.
In‑depth expertise across key SAP platforms, including SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and SAP Cloud Technologies.
Deep foundational knowledge of SAP technical architecture principles, best practices, and security services.
Proficiency with advanced SAP tools such as SAP Solution Manager and SAP Fiori.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
Relevant SAP Certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Solution Architect, SAP Certified Technology Associate).
Professional Skills
