The Role
As a Storeperson, you will be responsible for providing an outstanding service to customers within our Smeaton Grange branch, including over-the-counter sales and phone sales, as well as assisting with warehouse functions as required.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with the Credit Department about customer accounts.
- Order entry – multiple types including Quotes, OTC, Standard, No Charge, Samples, and Returns.
- Pack, label & assemble orders for delivery.
- Unpack, check & put away replenishment products as required.
- Support customer requests for products or information relating to products as required.
- Solve customer problems including sourcing expert advice from within PPG as needed.
- Orders packed & made ready for despatch to customers on time.
- Process orders and collate appropriate paperwork.
- Process over-the-counter customer sales and service.
- Cash sales reconciliation including daily banking procedures.
- Occasional paint mixing.
- Compliance with all PPG policies and EH&S; procedures.
Requirements
- Customer Service experience in a trade environment is required.
- General warehousing skills.
- A forklift license is preferred but not required.
- Permanent Working Rights in Australia is a must.
