Job Description and Application Process

Eligibility to Apply:

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed-term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).


Other Conditions:

WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. Policies require applicants to undertake criminal records screening and integrity checks as part of the appointment process. Additional checks, such as working with children and pre-employment health assessments, may be required depending on the role. Referees may be contacted to comment on your integrity and ethical behavior. Adverse information does not necessarily disqualify an applicant but will be considered during the process.

Completion of a satisfactory Pre-Employment Health Assessment (PEHA) is required. Offers of employment are conditional on this assessment. Unsatisfactory PEHA results will lead to withdrawal of the offer. Please refer to the WACHS PEHA Policy for more details.

This recruitment process may also be used to fill other similar vacancies within the health service for up to twelve (12) months from the endorsement date. The next most suitable applicant may be selected if the vacancy is declined or vacated.


Position Profile:

The successful candidate will provide administrative and support functions related to inpatient billing, prepare patient accounts and relevant documents, process invoices, and manage visiting medical officer accounts at Hedland Health Campus.
