About Brady's Civil Infrastructure
Brady's Civil delivers civil works and site infrastructure across Australian mining, utility and government projects. We're a hands-on crew that puts quality work, safe sites, and looking after our people first. No corporate fluff, no stuffed shirts, just good tradies doing good work.
About the role
This isn't your usual carpentry gig.
You'll be based at Roy Hill in the Pilbara, working with our crew to install, maintain and tear down site infrastructure. Carpentry is your core trade, but on a job like this formwork and modular buildings are only part of what we do. Most days you'll be putting up and stripping formwork, assembling and servicing modular site buildings, framing out fit-outs, and pitching in with general civil works alongside the rest of the crew.
We're looking for a tradie who happens to be a qualified carpenter and is keen to be useful across the whole job, not someone who only wants to do carpentry work.
If you haven't done plumbing assist, concreting prep or other tasks outside your core trade before, that's fine. Training can be offered for work you're asked to do outside your carpentry responsibilities. What's not negotiable is the attitude: turn up, muck in, learn, and get the job done with the crew.
What you'll be doing
* Setting up, stripping and reusing formwork for slabs, footings, walls and structures
* Assembling, fitting out, servicing and tearing down modular site buildings (dongas, ablutions, kitchens, site offices, wash bays)
* Framing, lining, fixing internal fit-outs in modular and permanent structures
* General site carpentry and repair work across the camp and work areas
* Pouring assist and finishing works alongside concreters
* Connecting and disconnecting temporary facilities as the project moves
* Backfilling, compacting and general reinstatement works
* Plumbing assist, basic services run-ins and general labouring tasks as required (training offered if you haven't done it)
* Working alongside excavator and loader operators
* Site clean-ups and keeping the work area in order
* Daily pre-starts, SWMS sign-ons and site paperwork
* Calling out anything unsafe, no job is worth getting hurt over
What you'll bring
Required
* Cert III in Carpentry (or equivalent trade qualification) with relevant experience
* White Card (General Construction Induction)
* Current driver's licence
* Able to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing drug and alcohol testing (standard mining site requirement)
* Willingness to live on site and work a FIFO or DIDO roster
* The right attitude: keen to learn, keen to help, not precious about scope
What's on offer
* Above-award hourly rate based on experience and tickets
* FIFO / DIDO roster (discussed at interview)
* Camp accommodation and meals provided
* Travel covered to and from site
* Ticket upgrades and cross-trade training supported
* Long-term pipeline of work, we run our own jobs, not labour-hire
* A crew that looks after each other and leadership that shoots straight
