As our Visual Arts Senior Direct Support Worker, you will be working with our clients and staff at Artel in Redcliffe. Artel is a skilled art studio, offering a space for artists with disability to express themselves using visual languages that are contemporary, distinctive and undeniably their own.
You will also be overseeing the work of others to ensure they work effectively to deliver high quality services to our clients, whilst supporting with administration involved in the day-to-day running of the programs.
Selection criteria includes:
- Previous experience and the ability to oversee the work of others; managing or leading a team
- Print making/visual arts background is highly desirable
- Previous experience working in support work and providing high quality services to individuals with disabilities
- Experience in general administration functions, such as records management - administration skills is a must!
- Exceptional organisational skills and a willingness to learn rosters
- Respond positively to challenging behaviours and restrictive practices
- Provide clients with personal care with the most dignity and respect
- Provide support and assistance to teams with program delivery, including both hands-on support and administration
