Position Summary
The Bar Attendant Supervisor is responsible for supporting and supervising daily bar operations to ensure efficient beverage service, responsible service of alcohol compliance and high-quality customer experiences. This role requires strong beverage service knowledge, supervisory capability and the ability to coordinate bar operations within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and support daily bar operations, ensuring efficient and professional beverage service
* Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with venue standards and customer requirements
* Ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) legislation and workplace health and safety requirements
* Supervise, train and support bar attendants and food and beverage staff during service periods
* Take reservations and greet guests where required
* Oversee stock rotation, inventory control, ordering and storage of beverages and bar supplies
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of bar service areas, equipment and workstations
* Operate point of sale systems, undertake cash handling duties and assist with opening and closing procedures
* Take drink orders, prepare garnishes and ensure timely customer service delivery
* Provide high-quality customer service and assist with resolving customer enquiries and service issues
* Support venue operations and coordinate workflow during peak service periods
* Ensure glassware, bar equipment and service areas are cleaned and maintained in accordance with operational standards
Essential Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated bar supervisory experience
* Strong beverage knowledge including wine, beer, spirits, cocktails and premium beverage service standards
* Experience supervising and supporting hospitality staff in a fast‐paced environment
* Strong communication, customer service and organisational skills
* Ability to manage priorities and maintain service standards during busy operational periods
* Experience operating POS systems and undertaking cash handling responsibilities
* Strong understanding of RSA requirements, workplace health and safety procedures and hospitality service standards
* Ability to work year‐round, evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
* Experience working within premium hospitality, tourism or wine‐focused venues is highly regarded
Qualifications
* Hold at least a relevant AQF Certificate II or III qualification (or equivalent), or
* At least 1 year of relevant, full‐time experience may substitute for the formal qualification listed above.
