Fusion Markets opened its doors to clients all around the world in mid-2019. Last year, we grew triple-digitsacross both revenue and clients, and we're on pace to outdo that again in 2026, outpacing competitors who are decades older than us.
We're a talented team delivering trading products focused on the lowest possible costs for global clients looking to trade Forex, Cryptos, Stocks, Commodities and more. Our clients now trade close to $500 billion every month on our platforms worldwide.
We have big dreams, know-how, and a high bar for the talent we want on the bus* with us to get there. Finance can be serious, but we aren't afraid to laugh along the way (*note: sorry, we don't actually have our own bus).
You'll find us in a fancy building in South Yarra (Goldfields House), complete with 6-star amenities: two commercial-grade coffee machines, sparkling water taps, an infrared sauna, pool table and more. We're also mid-renovation to double our space as the team keeps growing.

The Team
You'll join our Finance team in South Yarra, reporting to the Financial Controller and working shoulder-to-shoulder with the Finance Manager and a tight crew of accountants who genuinely enjoy a clean reconciliation. We operate in a regulated environment, so things move quickly and the numbers have to be right the first time, but we're also the kind of team that swaps a meme or two between journals and likes to wrap month-end in time for Friday drinks. The cents matter as much as the millions, and we obsess over both.
What You Will Own
* Client Money Reconciliations: Reconcile segregated client trust accounts across multiple banking partners and payment providers, then chase down any discrepancies like a detective.
* Operating Bank Account Reconciliations: Keep our operating accounts squared away so no dollar wanders off without us noticing.
* Accounts Payable End-To-End: Code invoices, run approvals, manage payment runs, reconcile supplier statements, and politely untangle the occasional queries.
* Credit Card Reconciliations: Reconcile corporate card spend, hunt down rogue receipts, and make sure the GL coding and GST treatment are spot on.
* Month-End Support: Pitch in on journals, accruals, balance sheet recs and supporting schedules so the close lands clean and on time.
* Audit, Reporting And Process Wins: Help out the wider team with audit requests, regulatory reporting inputs, and process improvement initiatives.
What Makes You Great In This Role
* The Experience: 1–3 years in a similar Accounts Payable or Assistant Accountant role and you've got the receipts, figuratively and literally.
* The Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, ticked off.
* The Study Hustle: You're studying towards CA or CPA, or about to kick it off.
* Excel Black Belt: Comfortable working with high transaction volumes and not at all scared of a pivot table.
