Senior Structural Field Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Field Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing liaison with our home office engineering team for resolution, reviewing and signing off on Lift Plans, conducting site reviews of civil installations, and performing field job card/implementation reviews.
The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communications skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn and continuously improve performance.
* Collaborate with the home office engineering team to resolve technical issues and ensure project success.
* Review and approve Lift Plans to ensure compliance with company standards.
* Conduct on-site inspections of civil installations to identify potential risks and defects.
* Analyze inspection findings and assess the fitness for service of equipment and structures.
* Develop and implement refurbishment solutions to extend the life of assets.
* Verify that field job cards and implementation reviews meet engineering design requirements.
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in a field-based role.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
