Transport Volunteer Opportunity
The Australian Red Cross Transport service is a door-to-door service that assists clients with non-urgent medical appointments, social outings, and essential errands. Volunteers operate vehicles to transport one or multiple clients per trip, locally and regionally, on weekdays.
Key responsibilities include providing a safe, courteous, and respectful transport experience, assisting with mobility aids, and engaging in conversation and activities appropriate to the client or group. This role requires commitment to participating in mandatory training and e-learning modules and maintaining clear professional relationships and respect boundaries to safeguard the well-being of clients and volunteers.
Volunteers will deliver more than just safe transport – they will offer companionship, dignity, and peace of mind. The support provided by volunteers will help clients maintain their independence, reduce isolation, and participate fully in community life.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are looking to make a positive impact in their community while gaining valuable experience and skills.
