Central Adelaide Local Health Network Statewide – SA Pathology - TQEH Core Laboratory

Salary: TGO1 - $48,788 - $70,032 p.a. (pro-rata) + Superannuation & Salary Sacrifice Benefits

Part Time, Contracted Role working 22.5 hours per week up to 16 Oct 2026

About the role Are you ready to start a rewarding career in pathology and make a real impact in healthcare? An exciting opportunity is now available to join the Core Laboratory team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. This is your chance to contribute to vital diagnostic services that support patient care every single day.

In this position, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality laboratory and technical services. Working both independently and alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team, you’ll be involved in a range of routine testing within our rapid-paced Core Laboratory.

Responsibilities

Perform routine laboratory testing across multiple disciplines.

Follow standardised procedures and established protocols.

Assist with daily laboratory operations to keep services running smoothly.

Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention.

Experience in one or more of the following disciplines is highly desirable: Haematology, Biochemistry, Morphology, Coagulation, Blood Bank.

About You You will bring a strong technical foundation, sound judgement and a commitment to high-quality laboratory practice. With the ability to work independently and as part of a team, you will apply your skills to support accurate, safe and timely pathology results while delivering excellent customer service.

In this role, you will demonstrate reliability, professionalism and a willingness to learn. Your strong communication skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities will ensure effective contribution to laboratory operations and a positive working environment.

Key Requirements Technical competence and initiative, supported by a Diploma or Advanced Diploma and the ability to follow instructions, solve problems and apply laboratory concepts accurately.

Strong organisational and communication skills, enabling you to manage varied workloads, prioritise tasks, handle confidential information professionally and communicate clearly with colleagues.

Teamwork and customer focus, demonstrated through effective collaboration, positive interpersonal skills and a commitment to high-quality service delivery.

Laboratory readiness and adaptability, including general laboratory experience, sound numerical and keyboard skills, confidence with computer software and adherence to Work Health & Safety legislation.
