Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and qualified professional with experience in coordinating the maintenance and management of civil infrastructure assets (road, paths, drainage and bridges). Responsibilities
As the Coordinator, you will lead the City's Roads and Drainage team to deliver and achieve business objectives outlined in the City of Mandurah's Strategic, Business and Asset Management Plans. You will provide leadership to ensure the work carried out is within budget and to agreed quality standards and customer expectations.
Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering (recognised by Engineers Australia)
* Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience in the construction or maintenance of civil infrastructure assets
* Current unrestricted 'C' class driver's licence
* Experience in managing large operational teams in a multi‐skilled environment
* Experience in budgeting and expenditure management
* Experience in procurement procedures and practices
* Thorough knowledge and experience in estimating, budgeting, costing, project administration and management to enable a cost‐effective operation of the Council budget
* A thorough understanding of Local Government requirements to ensure all works are carried out according to the general requirements of the Local Government Act, other appropriate Acts and Australian Standards and to the specific requirements of Council policy
* High‐level leadership and coordination skills

Where an applicant does not fully meet the requirements outlined in the attached position description, the role may be reclassified, and an alternative remuneration package may be offered, subject to organisational needs in line with the City of Mandurah Industrial Agreement.
* The salary for this role commences at step 1, with potential for movement within the range based on demonstrated skills and experience; incremental progression typically occurs at the conclusion of each 12‐month period in accordance with the Industrial Agreement.
