The Opportunity
As a Works Support Officer in the City of Perth, you will provide technical and administrative assistance to both the Maintenance Scheduler and Team Leader Maintenance through the processing, delivery and monitoring of items primarily pertaining to daily work allocations, plant, permits and traffic management. The occupant also plays significant role in ensuring all workers are adhering to the City's Work Health and Safety (WHS) practices.
Reporting to the Maintenance Scheduler within the Infrastructure and Assets team, your responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating permits, documentation and operational requirements to ensure maintenance works are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule;
* Assisting with the development and delivery of maintenance programs, including site inspections, scoping and annual planning activities;
* Providing administrative and procurement support to ensure contractors, materials and resources are in place for works to proceed without delay; and
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, delivering timely communication, technical assistance and customer service as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Civil construction trade experience and knowledge of industry and gas safety standards;
* Strong attention to detail with fault‑finding, risk management and sound decision‑making skills;
* Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare routine documents; and
* High level customer service and interpersonal skills, with conflict resolution ability and confidence using computer systems.

* Construction Induction Card (White / Blue Card), or ability to obtain;
* A satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months).
