About the Northern Territory Health Library Services
The Northern Territory Health Library Network is a comprehensive resource that supports all NT Health staff and affiliated health professionals throughout the Northern Territory.
The library network comprises five hospitals, including staffed libraries in Darwin and Alice Springs, and online support for remote staff.
Job Role Overview
This full-time position reports to the Manager of Training and Research Support and is responsible for providing information to support patient care, research projects, and policy writing.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Combining literature searching with knowledge of local resources and issues to provide evidence for clinical decision-making.
2. Contributing to the education of staff through teaching activities and workshops.
3. Evaluating and developing the library's resources to meet staff needs.
Travel to regional locations may be required.
About You
We are seeking an individual with:
* A degree or postgraduate diploma in library science from ALIA.
* Experience in delivering research and information services, with contemporary knowledge of scholarly resources.
* Digital literacy skills and experience with electronic resources.
* Experience in delivering training programs and engaging with professionals.
* Excellent communication and customer focus skills.
* An ability to interact with diverse cultures.
