About BRAMS

Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service that has been delivering comprehensive, culturally safe primary health care to the Broome community for over 45 years.

About the Role

We are seeking Aged Care Support Workers to join our growing team in Broome. Full-time, part-time and casual positions are available.

Working under the BRAMS Model of Care, you will provide culturally responsive, person‐centred support to older Aboriginal consumers, helping them maintain independence, dignity and connection to family, culture and community. Day to day, you will deliver practical assistance across personal care, daily living tasks, social participation, transport and community access, while also completing routine documentation and working alongside Coordinators, Case Managers, Aboriginal Health Workers and Allied Health staff.

About You

To be considered for this role, please submit a cover letter and resume. Your cover letter must address the Selection Criteria below:

* Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care, Community Services or a related field, or relevant experience in a similar support role, or willingness to complete.
* Understanding of the health and wellbeing needs of Aboriginal people, including cultural, social and historical factors influencing care.
* Ability to work in a culturally responsive, person‐centred and rights‐based way with older Aboriginal people.
* Experience providing practical support such as personal care, domestic assistance, community access or transport.
* Ability to follow a care plan, record observations and complete documentation accurately and on time.
* Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn client record systems.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan work, manage time and respond to competing demands.
* Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to shared goals.
* Willingness to undertake training related to medication support, manual handling, infection prevention and other mandatory requirements.

Benefits

In addition to a competitive salary of $80,000 to $90,000 (pro rata for part-time, with casual loading for casual positions), we offer:

* Annual remote allowance of $1,300.
