Job Opportunity for Senior Analyst
Certified Group is a leading provider of laboratory testing and regulatory consulting services. We are seeking a Senior Analyst to partner with customers and deliver innovative scientific solutions and expertise.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytical chemistry and experience with residue analysis, HPLC, and mass spectrometry. They will be responsible for implementing and validating published methods, preparing detailed reports, and performing regular analysis while maintaining high-quality results.
The successful candidate will contribute to technical and strategic discussions, develop contacts with outside researchers, and participate in relevant ISO QA/QC activities. Additionally, they will maintain a safe and clean work area and comply with corporate safety and environmental policies.
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a M.S. degree in the Sciences or a BS degree with relevant experience. They should possess strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills, as well as high-level computer skills and familiarity with instrument control/data acquisition software.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Implement and validate published methods for use in the laboratory.
* Prepare detailed reports on the status of current projects.
* Perform regular analysis in a timely fashion, maintaining a high level of quality.
* Develop, validate, and perform non-routine analysis, as required.
* Provide technical guidance and consultation to other analytical personnel.
Requirements:
Pesticide Senior Analyst:
* M.S. degree in the Sciences.
* Proficiency and at least 5 years' experience in residue analysis.
* Proven ability to develop and validate methods.
* High level of computer skills and familiarity with instrument control/data acquisition software.
* Thorough familiarity with literature in residue analysis, including primary literature.
* Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills.
* Manual dexterity.
* Ability to distinguish colors.
* Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
HPLC Senior Analyst:
* BS degree in the Sciences.
* Proficiency and at least 5-years' experience in HPLC.
* Proven ability to develop and validate methods.
* Strong relevant quantitative skills.
* High level of computer skills and familiarity with data acquisition software.
* Broad familiarity with general literature in applicable discipline, including primary literature.
* Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
Mass Spectrometry Senior Analyst:
* M.S. degree or higher in Analytical Chemistry or related Science or BS with relevant experience.
* Proficiency and substantial experience in modern MS analysis.
* Proven ability to develop and validate methods.
* High level of computer skills and familiarity with instrument control/data acquisition software.
* Thorough familiarity with literature in MS analysis, including primary literature.
* Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
