Job Overview
The Utilities Design Manager/Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of critical utilities infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management and Oversight of Utilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate utilities strategies; provide support for utility-related issues; conduct reviews on design submissions; coordinate utility designers and engineers to manage the utility scope; investigate sites and prepare early works packages; identify opportunities for improvement and mitigate risks; present reports on utilities risks.
* Risk Mitigation and Strategy: Lead utilities risk management, ensure timely resolution and efficient delivery; identify significant risks and establish mitigation measures; collaborate with senior management to develop mitigating strategies.
* Collaboration, Support & Business Development: Provide tender support; build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders; foster client relationships to identify opportunities and contribute to tender submissions and reviews.
Requirements:
* A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills.
* A commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Experience in project management, particularly in utilities infrastructure projects.
* An understanding of utility management and construction processes.
