About the role
As the first point of contact, you'll create a welcoming and professional experience for every patient. You'll keep the practice running smoothly by managing appointments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting our GPs, nurses, and allied health teams.
What you'll be doing
* Greet patients and manage enquiries with warmth and professionalism
* Coordinate appointments for GPs, nurses, and allied health professionals
* Maintain accurate patient records and billing information
* Handle phone calls, messages, and administrative tasks efficiently
* Support the team with day-to-day practice operations
* Assist with billing, payments, and account follow-ups
* Contribute to a safe, clean, and well-organised practice environment
What you'll bring
* Excellent communication skills and a caring, patient-focused approach
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment
* A proactive, "can-do" attitude and team mindset
* High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Nice to have
* Previous experience in a medical reception or healthcare setting
* Familiarity with systems such as Best Practice, Mediflex or PenCAT
* Understanding of Medicare and medical terminology
