Hatton Vale State School is a prep‐6 school situated 25 minutes' drive west of Ipswich along the Warrego highway. It is positioned halfway between Toowoomba and Brisbane. The school population averages 570 students.
Role Overview
The Deputy Principal supports the Principal in strategic direction with a specialised focus in curriculum and pedagogical implementation.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
* Depute for the Principal when required.
* Uphold the deputy principalship as a values‐based, ethical and moral activity.
* Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
* Set high standards for student and staff performance.

Qualifications and Experience
* Experience implementing Education Queensland's Reading strategy, the Australian Curriculum and Explicit Instruction.
* Experience in curriculum and pedagogical implementation.
