Public Sector People are partnering with a highly regarded public sector organisation to recruit an experienced IT Project Manager for an exciting 6‐month contract opportunity based in a central Sydney location with hybrid working options.

About The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly experienced IT Project Manager with a proven track record delivering technology and software application projects from inception through to final delivery, using waterfall methodologies with a strong digital focus.
You will lead projects end‐to‐end, from business case preparation, market research and Requests for Tender (RFTs) through to business acceptance and handover, ensuring successful delivery against timeframes, budgets and stakeholder expectations.
You will bring strong stakeholder engagement skills, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to create high‐quality reports and executive‐level documentation to support informed decision‐making.
Do You Have
* 15+ years of demonstrated project management experience, including at least 5 years as a Senior Project Manager delivering projects end-to-end
* Proven experience delivering technology/software application projects, including website transformation or customer engagement initiatives
* Strong experience managing best‐of‐breed technology solutions
* The ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and facilitate fast decision‐making to meet project schedules and deliverables
* Strong analytical, problem‐solving and creative thinking capability
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and team engagement skills
* Demonstrated experience preparing executive‐level reports, submissions and documentation
* Proficiency across MS Office Suite, Visio, SharePoint and MS Project
Desirable
* Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for Enterprise Applications
* Experience in a digital agency environment
* Functional knowledge of CRM, ERP, vendor and finance management applications
* PMBOK, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification
* Experience operating within government governance and probity frameworks
