Network Engineer Role Overview
As a professional network engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining computer networks to ensure optimal performance and security. You will work with various clients across Australia and New Zealand, providing technical support and solutions to meet their networking needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor network availability and performance, focusing on outage detection, analysis, resolution, and reporting
* Provide technical assistance on customer projects, such as circuit changes, site moves, and rolling out IOS upgrades using automated tools
* Conduct testing, implementation, monitoring, and tuning of networking software/hardware to ensure optimum systems performance and highlight potential issues
Requirements and Qualifications
* 2+ years working in a professional services environment
* Developing knowledge of Networking and Firewalling covering Datacentres, Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs)
* Understand the concepts of networking and the security associated with networking
* Analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
