About the Role
Hume now calls for applications for the position of Learning Enhancement Assistant. This position is full-time (1.0 FTE), ongoing and will be based at our Donnybrook campus, starting Monday, 13 July 2026. The Learning Enhancement Assistant works as part of the Learning Enhancement team, supporting and extending students' learning in the classroom under the guidance of the classroom teacher and in partnership with other LEAs and class teachers.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist students with additional needs by supporting and extending their learning in the classroom.
* Contribute to assisting students develop the strategies and skills necessary to foster learning, independence and confidence.
* Work proactively and collaboratively with the Learning Enhancement team and general staff to support and enrich collective responsibilities.
* Collaborate with class teachers, other LEAs, and report to the Director of Teaching and Learning through the Head of Learning Enhancement.
Essential Requirements
* Knowledge of, and experience with, the approaches to supporting children with additional needs.
* Experience in a similar role in an educational setting.
* Support for the educational culture and Christian/Anglican ethos of the School.
* A current Working With Children Check.

* Excellent interpersonal qualities required to work with children with additional needs.
* Ability to build trust, effectively collaborate and maintain strong relationships with others, specifically colleagues and parents.
