About the Role

As Group Financial Controller, you will play a strategic and hands‑on leadership role overseeing all aspects of financial management across a multi‑entity ASX‑listed group. You will ensure financial integrity, strengthen governance frameworks, uplift systems, and provide insights that directly influence strategic decisions. Reporting to the CFO, you will be a key driver of financial excellence, operational discipline, and continuous improvement across the Group.

Your Impact

- Lead with financial excellence: Deliver accurate, timely, and compliant statutory reporting that strengthens transparency, governance, and ASX obligations.
- Drive operational performance: Partner with leaders across all business units to provide actionable financial insights that support strategic and operational decision‑making.
- Strengthen governance and controls: Enhance internal controls, risk frameworks, and financial discipline to safeguard organisational assets and ensure compliance across the Group.
- Optimise systems and reporting: Champion improvements to ERP platforms, BI tools, and financial processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and data visibility.
- Shape planning and forecasting: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range financial planning, giving leaders the clarity they need to drive growth.
- Stay agile: Each day will bring something different, from resolving complex accounting matters to supporting integration projects and finance transformation initiatives.
- Mentor and elevate your team: Guide, develop, and inspire finance team members, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Drive innovation: Introduce new ways of working, modern analytics, and process efficiencies that future‑proof the finance function.
- Collaborate across the Group: Work closely with subsidiaries, auditors, tax advisors, and executive teams to ensure alignment, rigor, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver statutory financial reporting in compliance with ASX and ASIC requirements
- Manage month‑end and year‑end close across multiple business units
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles
- Enhance internal controls and governance frameworks
- Provide high‑quality analysis and insights to guide decision‑making
- Drive financial system upgrades, BI improvements, and process optimisation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with auditors and external advisors
- Mentor and develop finance team members
- Support initiatives that uplift financial capability, efficiency, and data integrity

About You

You are an accomplished finance leader with deep experience in complex environments and a passion for delivering accurate, meaningful, and forward‑looking financial insights. You combine technical excellence with strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

- CA or CPA qualification (mandatory).
- Strong experience managing financial operations in a complex or multi‑entity organisation.
- Advanced technical knowledge of AASB and IFRS standards.
- Experience with ERPs such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
- High‑level Excel capability and strong BI tool experience (Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate).
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and uplift financial governance.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution‑oriented approach.
