About the role
Aurizon is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Operations Support Officer to join our team. In this role, you will act as the key interface between terminal operations and customers, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of operational and logistical enquiries. You will play a critical role in maintaining service reliability, improving customer experience, and supporting operational efficiency across the terminal.
This role will see you:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at an operational level to identify opportunities for service improvement
* Prepare, review and coordinate daily and weekly operational and customer performance meetings
* Monitor and maintain a strong understanding of operational service levels to meet business requirements
* Support revenue protection by reviewing systems to ensure complete and accurate billing data
* Analyse operational data to identify trends, improve productivity, and optimise capacity utilisation
* Coordinate timely responses to operational and logistical enquiries to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
About you
You are a detail-oriented and commercially aware professional with strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving problems and improving processes.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or minimum 2 years experience in a similar operational, logistics, or customer-facing role
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify opportunities for improvement
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
