Find out more about our school by visiting The Role The Associate Principal will play a pivotal leadership role within our school, working in close partnership with the Principal and leadership team to drive high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning across Years 7 to 12.
The successful applicant will ideally have a strong understanding of how children and young people learn best, and bring the professional expertise, relational capacity, and strategic mindset required to support our diverse school community.
Knowledge and experience in leading student services will be highly regarded as a key focus of the role is leading the Students at Educational Risk (SAER) portfolio, ensuring student needs are met through coordinated processes, effective resourcing, and high standards of care and support.
The Associate Principal will ideally: Lead instructional practice, curriculum development, and school improvement initiatives.
Draw upon deep knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum, High-Impact Teaching Strategies, and best practice pedagogy to ensure year-on-year student progress.
Work collaboratively with instructional coaches as part of our Scaling Up Success project, building the capacity of staff to deliver consistent, high-quality teaching.
Continue the development of the Department's Quality Teaching Strategy across all learning settings (K to 12).
Provide strong leadership for professional learning communities, modelling reflective practice and coaching staff to grow their instructional expertise.
Line manage and support staff across Years 7 to 12, ensuring the effective use of human resources to meet student needs.
Coordinate and enhance programs across Lower School (Years 7 to 10), including transition pathways.
Work with the Deputy Principal (Primary) to initiatives that promote student engagement, wellbeing, attendance, and achievement.
Utilise well-developed behaviour support knowledge, particularly in restorative approaches, to positively influence outcomes for students with complex or challenging behaviours.
Build and sustain effective educational partnerships and professional relationships across diverse contexts and stakeholders.

Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
