About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee and optimise day-to-day operations across the business, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard, while supporting overall business performance and growth.
Reporting directly to the Director, some of your responsibilities will include:
* Leading, mentoring, and supporting supervisors and operational teams
* Overseeing day-to-day operations across construction, maintenance, and project delivery
* Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards
* Maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers
* Ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and ISO management systems
* Monitoring and improving operational performance across safety, quality, and delivery metrics
* Supporting budgeting and cost control across projects (financial experience advantageous)
* Identifying and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency and productivity
* Assisting with resource planning, scheduling, and workforce coordination
* Supporting tender processes and project mobilisation as required
About You
The successful candidate will have:
* Proven experience in an Operations Manager or similar role
* Background in commercial landscaping, construction, or related industries
* Strong operational leadership with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams
* Solid understanding of project delivery, scheduling, and resource management
* Financial awareness with experience supporting budgets and cost control (not essential)
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance frameworks
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
* A hands‐on, solutions‐focused approach with high accountability
