Tax Manager We're partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit a Tax Manager to lead the internal tax function across a complex multi-entity environment. Reporting into senior finance leadership, this role will focus on tax compliance, governance, risk management and strategic advisory across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional (with experience working in the Big 4) looking to step into a high-impact leadership role with strong visibility across executive stakeholders and the opportunity to drive process improvement and automation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead all direct and indirect tax compliance activities including income tax, GST, FBT, PAYG and tax effect accounting. Ensure compliance with Australian taxation legislation, ATO guidelines and internal governance frameworks. Oversee deferred tax calculations and reporting in line with AASB 112 requirements. Partner with finance and leadership teams to provide tax advice on business transactions, restructures and major commercial agreements. Manage transfer pricing and Country-by-Country Reporting obligations across the group. Identify and mitigate tax risks arising from legislative changes and significant business activities. Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives across tax processes and reporting workflows. Maintain robust internal controls, review processes and governance procedures for tax-related activities. Liaise with external advisors, auditors and government bodies on tax matters and compliance reviews. About You CA/CPA qualified with Big 4 training and commercial experience since leaving the Big 4 Experience with tax compliance and tax advisory 8 years' experience within tax, ideally in a complex multi-entity environment. Strong technical knowledge across income tax, GST, FBT, PAYG, transfer pricing and tax effect accounting. Experience managing tax governance frameworks and working closely with external auditors and advisors. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess and communicate tax risks effectively. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence engaging senior leadership. Proven ability to improve processes, drive automation and implement best-practice controls.
