Venue Manager

The Brighton isn't a quiet little local.
We're a fast-moving coastal venue with a sports bar, beer garden, restaurant, alfresco spaces, functions and live entertainment all operating under one roof and we're in the middle of a serious growth phase.
We're looking for a Venue Manager who wants to build something.
Not someone who just wants to "maintain operations" and not someone who hides in the office.
This role is for a hands‐on leader with strong venue experience, good instincts, commercial awareness and the energy to help shape what The Brighton becomes over the next phase.
You'll work closely alongside the Management team helping lead day‐to‐day operations across the entire venue, from busy weekend service and major sports trade through to functions, live entertainment and team development.
The venue is evolving quickly. Standards are lifting. Revenue is growing. The team is growing with it, we need someone who can match that pace.
What the role looks like:
You'll be overseeing:
* Sports bar operations/development
* Restaurant & alfresco service elevation
* Beer garden trade and planning for summer
* Functions & events
* Team leadership & culture
* Service standards
* Venue presentation
* Training & development
* Stock control & operational systems
* Driving revenue opportunities across the business
This is a leadership role, but it's still hospitality.
You'll be on the floor. You'll lead from the front. You'll know how to run a Saturday night without showing any stress. You'll understand that great venues are built through consistency, energy and team culture.
Who we're looking for:
You are already a Venue Manager.
What matters most is attitude, leadership style and capability.
You'll probably suit this role if you:
* Have experience in high-volume hospitality venues
* Know how to lead teams without ego
* Can balance service, culture and commercial thinking
* Understand modern hospitality standards
* Be organised without being rigid
* Have experience across bars, restaurants and functions
* Bring energy to a venue instead of draining it
* Actually enjoy hospitality
Experience with live entertainment, events or multi-space venues is a bonus.
