About the role

This is a full‐time opportunity to join the Ashburton Aboriginal Corporation as an Employment Consultant in South Hedland, Western Australia. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for providing tailored employment services and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, helping them find sustainable employment opportunities that align with their goals and aspirations.

What you'll be doing

You'll work directly with job seekers to understand their skills, interests, and goals—then guide them toward sustainable employment. You'll collaborate with employers, training providers, and community services to build tailored pathways that lead to real opportunities.

What we're looking for
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and engage effectively with a diverse range of clients
* A strong customer service orientation and a genuine passion for empowering individuals to achieve their employment goals
* Confident in administration tasks and use of systems for reporting and record keeping purposes
* Strong understanding of the challenges and barriers faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander job seekers, and the ability to provide culturally appropriate support
