Role: Python Ansible Developer – Telecom Domain experience.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer with a strong understanding of the telecommunications domain to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for design, implement, and operationalize a robust framework for configuration management and drift detection across core network nodes involved in E000 call flows. The role also includes enabling GitOps practices using GitLab CI/CD, integrating automation workflows, and delivering a user-friendly NOC UX application. You should have strong expertise in Python, Ansible, and infrastructure automation.
Responsibilities
Design, test, and implement a scalable framework for configuration management and drift detection across nodes including MME, S/P-GW, P-CSCF, E-CSCF, PCRF, and I-SBC.
Conduct an audit of existing configuration management tools, processes, and workflows.
Automate drift detection against golden configurations using Python and Ansible.
Set up and integrate GitLab repositories for configuration versioning and control.
Validate solutions in lab and production environments and ensure smooth operational handover.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and product managers.
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development and the telecommunications industry.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
Write clear and concise technical documentation.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience with Python scripting and automation for configuration parsing, validation, and drift detection.
Proficiency in writing Ansible playbooks, roles, and automating configuration tasks across network nodes.
Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines, triggers, and integration with infrastructure.
Familiarity with GitOps principles, version control, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Understanding of network elements and protocols relevant to E000 call flows.
Experience with infrastructure automation, configuration drift detection, and compliance monitoring.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and deployment in hybrid environments.
Exposure to monitoring and alerting tools for operational observability.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Educational Qualifications
Engineering bachelor's or master's degree level or equivalent.
