Employment Type: Fixed‐Term Full‐Time / Permanent On‐Going. Hours: Day/Weekend shift, 43 hours per week. Salary: $57.71 to $79.44 per hour (Registrar Year 1 to Registrar Year 6). About the Opportunity
The role is accredited for RACGP Extended Skills Post and is ideal for GP Year 3 and above registrars. It is also suitable for physician training and/or Emergency training. You will work closely with the HITH consultant, Resident Medical Officer and Senior Nurses to provide care for patients in Hospital in the Home. There is no after‐hours shift. The department medical consultants provide at least bi‐weekly training and education, with potential to join other specialty rotations in 2027.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical care for Hospital in the Home patients under daily consultant supervision.
* Participate in bi‐weekly training and education sessions.
* Collaborate with HITH consultant, Resident Medical Officers and Senior Nurses.
* Work within a day/evening shift structure and avoid after‐hours duties.
Qualifications
* Must have: valid APHRA medical registration.
* Full‐time or part‐time based at Werribee Mercy Hospital.
* Experience in general practice and ambulatory positions is desirable.
* Commitment to patient‐centred care and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

* Current Police Record Check.
* Working with Children Check.
* Proof of vaccination status consistent with public health orders and Mercy Health's policy.
