In this critical role, you will build and strengthen long-term relationships across multiple sites and functions, ensuring our products, technologies, and services are aligned with their operational and strategic priorities. You will drive account planning, service excellence, and innovation to deliver value for both Epiroc and our customer.There are several attributes that the successful applicant will need to possess, which include:A listener first and a sales professional secondA resilient, self-motivated solutions finderHighly developed communication skills and emotional intelligenceAn understanding of how to balance customer advocacy with favourable commercial outcomesStrong collaboration skills and the ability to find common ground with people approaching projects from differing perspectives.The ability to make decisions within set parameters, and the confidence to deliver information to various levels within both Epiroc and the customer's organisationsA background in and an understanding of business development, account management or general salesA technical aptitude- you don't need to be an expert regarding machinery as you will be supported in that space, but a solid understanding of technical considerations is importantWillingness to undertake extensive travel.Exposure to mining and related industries will be well-regardedA competitive nature - the desire to succeed for your customer, yourself and EpirocIt would be highly advantageous if you have the ability to read and speak MandarinKeyResponsibilities:Strategic Relationship Management:Build and maintain trusted, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across multiple operations, including supply, maintenance, operations, and technology.Account Strategy & Execution:Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic account plan ensuring Epiroc's solutions deliver measurable value.Innovation & Value Delivery:Identify and promote innovations that align with customer goals in safety, productivity, decarbonization, and digital transformation.Commercial Management:Manage contract performance, lead commercial negotiations, and ensure alignment with agreed terms, pricing structures, and KPIs.Forecasting & Operational Planning:Collaborate with internal stakeholders to anticipate customer demand and align internal planning with BHP's project and production schedules.Issue Management:Act as a point of escalation to resolve technical, operational, or commercial issues quickly and effectively, minimizing disruption and ensuring customer satisfaction.Qualifications & Experience:5+ years' experience in strategic account management, technical sales, or mining services-preferably with major mining companiesStrong understanding of surface and/or underground mining operationsDemonstrated ability to manage high-value, complex customer relationshipsExperience working in or supporting remote mining operations is advantageousStrong commercial and negotiation skillsExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsTechnical acumen and familiarity with mining equipment and automation technologiesCustomer-first mindset with a drive to create valueResilient, proactive, and solution-focusedWhat we offer:Company Vehicle, Phone, LaptopCompany-paid Income ProtectionUnlimited career opportunitiesPaid parental leave for primary and non-primary carersAbove NES long service leaveYears of service recognition awardsTraining and mentorship opportunitiesFlexible work opportunitiesEpiroc is a global productivity partner for mining and construction customers, and accelerates the transformation toward a sustainable society.
