About this Role
As a Library Services Officer you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service as the first point of contact for visitors to our Latrobe City libraries.
You will manage the day-to-day customer service interactions with Latrobe City's library patrons and visitors, including accurately processing payments and providing information to customers.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to undertake a range of activities including:
* Advising on digital resources.
* Presenting story time and other programs.
* Recommending great reading.
* Preparing interesting displays.
* Accurately processing payments.
About You
For this position we are seeking enthusiastic individuals with great communication skills and a passion for providing high-level customer service.
You will have:
* Demonstrated experience working in Public Libraries or in a professional customer service environment.
* A high-level commitment towards working as a part of professional librarian in a small team environment.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
* Ability to follow the procedures and processes associated with a community library environment and deliver library programs.
* Digital literacy skills, including the ability to use library management systems and Microsoft Office application.
