We are seeking confident, kind, and resilient Female Support Workers with relevant experience to support our female Participant.
YOUR SKILLS:
* Experience and in depth understanding of complex trauma
* Experience in psychosocial disability support
* Experience in intellectual disability support
* Experience with Bi-polar disorder
* Experience with High Intensity clients
* Confidence, persistence and resilience
* Reliability & commitment
The Participant is supported on a 24/7 basis with active overnights. All shifts are 8 hours.
All PARTICIPANTS WILL NEED SUPPORT WITH:
* Activities of daily living.
* All aspects of support physically & emotionally and on an individual needs basis.
HOMECARING REQUIRE ALL SUPPORT WORKERS TO HAVE:
* A genuine passion for working alongside individuals and their families to foster a positive & long-lasting relationship
* Support clients with complex needs in a safe, respectful way.
* Use de-escalation and conflict resolution skill to prevent escalation
* Conversational communication skills & flexibility to support participant needs based on individual circumstances
* A positive attitude strongly based on compassion & resilience, a sense of humour, and ongoing accountability
* A Qualification in Disability support or related field
Although this role is based in the Ipswich area, you will need to be flexible and willing to travel to support participants we also work with in the Logan area.
