At CSR, we're transforming the future of building materials through innovation, safety, and sustainability. Join our Interior Systems team as an Electrical Engineer, where you'll play a key role in driving automation, safety, and operational excellence across our manufacturing sites nationally.
About The Role
You'll provide technical leadership, setting direction for electrical, automation, and controls activities across CSR's Gyprock and Interior Systems facilities.
* Lead plant floor functional safety upgrades (AS4024) and automation projects
* Develop, implement, and benchmark electrical & control systems and standards
* Manage end-to-end delivery of capital projects (from design to commissioning)
* Support production line automation and drive equipment reliability improvements
* Oversee compliance with regulatory and CSR safety standards
* Mentor site teams and electrical contractors, building technical capability
* Use factory floor data to develop reporting tools (Power BI, SQL) to track and improve operational performance
Qualifications
* Degree qualified in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
* Experience in continuous process manufacturing and production line automation
* Demonstrated ability to design and implement industrial electrical systems
* Strong knowledge of PLC/SCADA control systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens and Ignition)
* Proven project management and technical leadership skills
* Ability to deliver in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
* Competent in the use of AutoCad or equivalent design software
* Relational database (SQL) and reporting (Power BI) experience – desirable
* Functional Safety (TÜV) qualifications – desirable
