About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Safety Compliance Administrator to join our Safety team at Intermodal Group. This is an entry‐level opportunity based at our Forrestfield site, with regular travel to North Quay and Kenwick. You will provide both administrative and operational support to the Safety team while gaining hands‐on experience across safety systems, compliance activities, risk management and incident investigations.
This role has been designed as a development pathway, offering the opportunity to progressively build your skills and take on greater responsibilities over time. We welcome applicants who already hold a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, as well as those willing to commit to completing the qualification within a 12–24 month period.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Safety team and operational leaders in promoting a consistent safety culture
* Assist with site inspections, audits and compliance activities
* Contribute to safety consultations, including toolbox talks and meetings
* Assist in developing risk assessments, procedures and work instructions
* Maintain documentation in line with the Safety Management System
* Support incident investigations and reporting processes
* Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives
* Assist with emergency preparedness activities
* Build knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management in a high‐risk environment
About You
* Interest in developing a long‐term career in Work Health and Safety
* Willingness to complete a Certificate IV in WHS through a traineeship of up to 24 months (or already completed – highly regarded)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Basic Microsoft Office skills, with willingness to learn new systems
* Proactive attitude and ability to work collaboratively
* Experience in a high-risk environment (desirable)
