Company: Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd. We're currently seeking motivated and customer-focused Parts Interpreters to join our team in the Mackay branch.
We'll look for someone who can provide accurate parts advice and support to both internal and external customers, ensuring timely supply of parts to keep equipment running efficiently.
Responsibilities
* Interpret parts requirements – assess customer needs and provide accurate, expert advice to identify the correct parts solutions.
* Process orders efficiently – manage parts orders, quotes and invoices accurately to ensure timely supply and minimal disruption.
* Build strong relationships – maintain effective working relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams to support operational success.
* Source parts effectively – utilise internal systems and external vendors to locate and supply parts in line with customer and business requirements.
* Manage inventory – assist with stock control, replenishment activities and cycle counts to maintain optimal inventory levels.
* Deliver outstanding service – ensure high levels of customer service and clear communication at all times.
* Support operational teams – provide timely parts availability and support to workshop and field service teams to keep equipment running efficiently.
Qualifications
* Relevant industry experience – previous experience as a Parts Interpreter or in a similar role supporting parts and service operations.
* Equipment knowledge – understanding of heavy equipment, mining or construction machinery is highly regarded.
* Strong systems capability – confident computer skills with experience using parts systems and related software.
* Customer-focused communicator – excellent communication skills with a strong commitment to customer service.
* Detail oriented and organised – high level of attention to detail with the ability to organise and prioritise work effectively.
* Collaborative and adaptable – able to work effectively within a team while managing competing priorities.

Employment details
Permanent, Monday to Friday role. Successful applicants will be required to provide two employment references, a National Police Check and a medical assessment.
