We are seeking a skilled and experienced Steelfixer to join our team at Elite steelfixing in Kilmore, Victoria. As a Steelfixer, you will play a critical role in the construction process, ensuring the proper installation and placement of steel reinforcement in concrete structures. This is a casual position to start of with potential full time position.
What you'll be doing
* Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications to determine the required steel placement and reinforcement patterns
* Cutting, bending, and tying steel reinforcement bars, mesh, and other materials according to project specifications
* Installing and securing steel reinforcement in formwork prior to concrete pouring
* Inspecting and verifying the accuracy of steel reinforcement placement
* Collaborating with the construction team to address any issues or discrepancies
* Maintaining a safe and organised work environment, following all health and safety protocols
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a Steelfixer or similar role in the construction industry
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
* Proficient in the use of steelfixing tools and equipment, such as cutting, bending, and tying tools
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with colleagues and supervisors
* Understanding of relevant health and safety regulations and the ability to work safely
* Australian work rights are required for this position
* Valid Construction Induction (White Card) is required before commencement
