Overview
Highgate Primary School (PS) invites applications for a permanent full‐time Primary Teacher/Physical Education teacher role commencing Term 3, 2026. The position will initially function as a full‐time PE teacher, with potential classroom responsibilities in the future.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging primary school programs aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education.
* Provide specialist Physical Education delivery throughout the school.
* Coordinate whole‐school sporting events and carnivals.
* Assist with the coordination of classroom teaching duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
* Have PE teaching experience and knowledge of the Western Australian curriculum.
* Demonstrate high emotional intelligence and strong classroom management skills.
* Show enthusiasm for learning, humour, joy and a team‐work mindset.
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa with work rights for the term.
