About the Role
This position will undertake specialist natural area and waterway management including revegetation works, habitat management, fire management, waterway management, water quality monitoring, litter collection, weed management, soil assessment, erosion and sediment control, emergency response (fish kills/oil spills), propagation techniques, basic nursery operations and wildlife management (bat dispersals and monitoring).
This role works from our Rowes Bay Depot.

requirements of this role include:
Certificate III Conservation and Land Management
Current Manual Queensland "C" Class Driver's Licence
Current Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control Licence
Current Positive Notice Working with Children Blue Card or ability to obtain
Construction Industry White Card ****** QLD)
Chainsaw / Polesaw Certificates
Fire Fighter (Vegetation) or willingness and ability to obtain
Recreational Boat Licence or willingness and ability to obtain
Basic nursery operations or skills
You will have sound knowledge of natural area management including revegetation, weed and feral animal control techniques, on-ground fire management, erosion mitigation techniques and working knowledge of environmental practices and procedures, including the maintenance of associated plant and equipment.
You will have the capacity to work in natural areas and conduct revegetation, plant identification, fire and weed management and the ability to drive 4x4s and reverse trailers.
