This is an exciting, unique opportunity to step into a leadership role within a dynamic, patient-focused environment as the Senior Medical Receptionist within our brand-new Oncology clinic in Redcliffe, on a full-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities

* Provide direction, supervision, support and recognition of staff activities and promote collaboration, cooperation and teamwork through effective leadership and management strategies.
* Support, initiate and drive change strategies across the practice through the provision of data and leadership which supports both the vision and ethos for GenesisCare and the development of patient-focused change strategies, programmes and initiatives.
* Champion high level of patient services by meeting patient needs, maintaining patient service levels and monitoring and reacting to patient feedback.
* Gain a clear understanding of the funding mechanisms related to Radiation Oncology billings, Medicare and the Medicare Safety Net.
* Communicate the funding mechanisms, out-of-pocket fees and other account-related enquiries.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and promote and support initiatives designed to improve clerical staff engagement.
* Implement effective performance management and development processes and provide staff with ongoing feedback and performance coaching.

Qualifications

* Experience in managing and leading a team.
* Excellent customer service experience in a healthcare environment.
* Strong experience in medical administration and reception management.
* Great management and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with and effectively influence staff & patients.
* Understanding of and ability to provide excellent leadership in line with the organisation's values.
* Collaborative and flexible approach to delivering exceptional patient-centred services.
* Willingness and ability to proactively implement continuous improvement and change initiatives.
* Ability to solve problems collaboratively as they arise.
* High level Medical accounts processing skills including knowledge of Medicare, DVA and private health funds.
* Proficiency in clinical administration systems and Microsoft Office for data analysis and reporting purposes.
