Executive Chef Role
Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort seeks a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. This role will be responsible for leading the culinary team, creating menus, and managing kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and motivate a diverse team of cooks and kitchen staff
* Create innovative and delicious menu options that meet customer preferences and dietary requirements
* Oversee kitchen inventory management, ensuring accurate ordering and minimizing waste
* Implement quality control procedures to maintain exceptional presentation, sanitation, and service standards
* Collaborate with the head chef to achieve business objectives and drive sales growth
* Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and food handling standards
* Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
* Ensure seamless operation of kitchen equipment and systems
* Prepare financial reports and budgets to support business decisions
Qualifications and Skills:
* Relevant Certificate III in Cookery or equivalent qualification
* At least two years' experience in a senior culinary role, preferably as a Sous Chef or Head Chef
* Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience in motivating and developing high-performing teams
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
* Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays
